Animal Disease Traceability

The Animal Industry Division is developing a traceability framework to compliment existing animal health programs. Animal and location identification will provide trace back of livestock in the event of an animal health concern which in turn will enable state animal health officials to rapidly respond.

Protecting animal agriculture is vital to our citizens. It promotes human health; and helps to sustain the environment. An effective and efficient traceability system is essential to this process.
